From eggs benedict to biscuits and gravy to avocado toast… they have it all! Their food is farm to table; I love that they have tons of local, delicious options to choose from. Afterwards, take a stroll around the village or do a little shopping to walk it all off! Or continue your fun at Catawba or Hillman Beer just down the road.
I stopped in for breakfast last week and ordered their Toasted Almond, Vanilla and Flax Seed Granola Bowl. They toss their house-made granola with steel cut oats, Greek yogurt, blueberries, bananas, strawberries, seasonal fruit and a drizzle of local honey.
Things to consider:
-They close for short periods of time throughout the day, so be sure to check their hours of operation
-At peak hours, you’ll have to wait. But they’ll text you when your table is ready if you want to grab a pre-dinner cocktail or do some shopping while you wait somewhere nearby
-Reservations are encouraged… you can call or make them online on their website!

Wine Bar at the Biltmore Winery
My husband had some days off, so we decided to be tourists in our own town, and @biltmoreestate is one of our favorite spots any time of the year.
The Biltmore Winery is magical! Once you buy a pass onto the property you can go and receive a FREE wine tasting (they recommend trying only 5, but guess what? I try all of them). After you do the free wine tasting, go to the Wine Bar next door to buy a glass of your favorite and a bite to eat (I suggest the charcuterie board).
The Biltmore Estate is one of our favorite spots any time of the year. Excited to see the latest Chihuly (nighttime) exhibit soon, although daytime is pretty spectacular too. Also recently joined the Vanderbilt Wine Club and love enjoying the perks when we visit (free glass of wine for myself and 3 guests each visit).

Hillman Beer
Hillman Beer is one of my favorite spots to go with my husband to grab a snack and a beer. They always have seating available, I love their airy indoor space and their huge outdoor area, and I haven’t tasted a beer/sandwich I haven’t liked.
Hillman Beer is one of my favorite spots to go with my husband to grab a snack and a beer. They always have seating available, I love their airy indoor space and their huge outdoor area, and I haven’t tasted a beer/sandwich I haven’t liked. Plus they are located in Biltmore Village, right next to Catawba Brewing (another one of my favorite places), shopping, and other restaurants.
Things to consider:
-Vegetarian and vegan options
-They serve wine too! (this is rare for most Asheville breweries) and usually have a local cider on tap
-They source their food locally (woohoo!)
-They have their own parking lot plus other nearby parking lots
-Large outdoor area with games
-Good for large groups
-Tuesday nights they have Trivia from 7-9
-No table service. Order drinks/food at the bar and they’ll give you a number and deliver your food to you
-Burger Wednesdays: Burger (flavors change weekly), beer, and side for $12 every Wednesday
Pictured above is the kale salad. I get it every time I go! It’s light, tart, and a little bit sweet. The ingredients as listed on the menu are pickled raisins, pumpkin seeds, pecorino cheese, lemon, and extra virgin olive oil...yum! If you're not a kale person, try one of their mouthwatering sandwiches like the Patty Melt or Grilled Cheese (that’s what my husband went for), apps, and/or desserts, all by Rise Above Deli. And then wash it down with one of Hillman’s refreshing brews.

The Library Lounge Patio at the Inn on Biltmore Estate
Have you found yourself on Asheville's beautiful Biltmore Estate? With all the dining options, it can be difficult to decide where to go. The Library Lounge Patio, located at the Inn, is one of my all time favorite spots, because I'm a sucker for the mountainous views.
Have you found yourself on Asheville's beautiful Biltmore Estate? With all the dining options, it can be difficult to decide where to go. The Library Lounge Patio, located at the Inn, is one of my all time favorite spots, because I'm a sucker for the mountainous views. They serve lunch, dinner, snacks, wine, beer, and cocktails. They describe it as a "relaxed elegance" atmosphere; I've sat outside in my running getup during the day, and I've also dressed up in my fanciest for dinner there at night. The food is simple (salads and sandwiches with some mains at night), and you can take in the mountains inside via huge windows, on the patio (me on the patio, pictured below), or you can grab a drink and walk down below to an another outdoor area (pictured above).
Things to consider:
In order to eat here, you have to have a pass to get onto the Biltmore Estate. An adult day pass is (gasp!) $67. However, that allows you access to the entire estate: the Biltmore house (America's largest home), the gardens and grounds (think hikes, picnics, biking... or pay extra for other outdoor activities such as horseback riding, segway tours etc), Antler Hill Village restaurants and free wine tasting. It is quite the experience! Go early in the morning and stay all day!
If you live in or around Asheville or simply visit Asheville frequently, consider getting an annual pass that allows you onto the property as much as you want. An annual pass is $174 (That's the price of about 2.5 day passes) so it's a great deal. My husband and I (and actually... my entire family pretty much) have one, and I go every week to run, eat, and enjoy the discounts I get with my annual pass.
It's not cheap. First you have to pay your way to get on the property, and then the food and drink are more pricey than usual. Go here for a special occasion!
