The Optimist in Germantown is a must-try. From the cocktails, to the service, to the seafood, to the Beignet Hushpuppies served with cane syrup butter… everything here is perfection.

Urban Grub in 12 South is a classic, tried-and-true favorite of ours. Great for a romantic dinner or a fun brunch with the girls.

It seems like there are always people gathered around outside waiting for a table at Bar Taco; while I like visiting more small, local businesses, I can’t deny that this place is fun!

Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint in Edgehill… the best damn burger I’ve ever tasted.

Bourbon Steak on the 34th floor of the JW Marriott Hotel makes the best date night ever. Sweeping views of the city, delectable food, and hand-crafted cocktails.

Located in the historic Printer’s Alley downtown, Black Rabbit has a cozy yet spacious speakeasy atmosphere.

Fun, busy, atmosphere with amazing margaritas and queso dip!

The Chef and I offers “innovative cuisine in a fun environment.” I love it because they serve brunch EVERY DAY from 10:30-2; it’s a great place to grab Bottomless Mimosas or a Brunch Mimosa Bucket.

Merchants (First Floor Bistro) in downtown Nashville is right on the Honky Tonk Strip on Broadway. I like this place because while the honky tonks are fun and all, sometimes I need a break for some quality food and a nice cocktail.

The Mockingbird in the Gulch is a great place for brunch with the girls or date night! Their famous “Punchin’ Bag” is a hibiscus lemon punch with your choice of booze served in a bag!

You might think I’m weird but this is my favorite thing form Burger up in 12 South… the kale salad topped with a quinoa burger. Delicious!

Ahhh… Barcelona. You can always count on this Spanish Tapas restaurant to lift your spirit.

Bella Napoli Pizzeria in Edgehill is located in the cutest alleyway (great for pictures) and has the best pizza and pasta.

True Food is located right in the middle of the Green Hills action. They have a great selection of healthy food, a cozy atmosphere in the winter, and a great patio during the warmer months. Last night I went with the Spaghetti Squash Casserole and added their chicken sausage on top and washed it all down with a big glass of Sangiovese.

L.A. Jackson in the Gulch is a fancy rooftop bar at the top of the Thompson Hotel and oh my, it is wonderful.
