This was one of my all-time favorite trips. *Please note: We took our trip to Boone in late September and had great weather. The hikes recommended are available all year, but be sure to check the weather before you leave and pack the necessary gear. We recommend taking your trip during the week, not during the weekend, if possible, to avoid crowds and traffic.
